RabPunk1977 just discovered this band in the latest/last edition of Maximumrocknroll and upon hearing the tracks on here it merited an instant purchase.Blistering punk from California.Love American Hardcore and this release is staggering. Favorite track: Parasite.

Crucifrost a perfect example of why"female fronted" should not be deemed a genre. Khiis is. turning the stereotypes on their heads. and they're doing it with just excellent song writing/crafting. keeping the songs at the perfect legth amd tempo amd throwing changes in without doing it just to do it. plus excellent artwork and singing in Farsi and for me they can do no wrong. my local favea.

Oakland's KHIIS, on this, their first full-length record, unleash a torrent of killer riffs, building songs of purpose and power, absent of the chaos and noise that engulfs many modern hardcore records. While such noise obviously has its place in the canon of punk and its raw machinations, KHIIS know they don't need the obscurant balm of feedback, they stand clear and robust, simply put: they've just got the fuckin riffs. Similarly the vocals are declamatory and forthright, not wild ghosts of delay and reverb, determined attacks, stark in their fury.
